The Five Elements
SPRAY APPLICATION :
Essential factors for effective application
Properly controlled spraying is essential if the farmer is to improve his productivity, his profitability and to be fully compliant with current legislation. With this in mind we suggest that you update your team regularly, keeping them abreast of the latest spraying criteria in order to allow them to share their expertise with their farmer customers.
The programme we recommend would start with the fundamentals of spray application, starting with the initial tank-mix. It would then look at the point where the water droplets reach their target and conclude by considering the run-off and soil residue of products that fail to meet its intended target.
Our aim is to maximise the practical effectiveness of our products. This would be achieved by the sales team being able to offer better advice to farmers in order that the farmer may gain more effective control of the spraying process.
ADJUVANTS :
Opportunities for sellers
Commercial success is directly linked to the beliefs and motivation of the sales team. Agridyne has studied adjuvant sales uptake in order to understand why, in some sectors, adjuvants contribute significantly to profitability and enhance the supplier’s image.
We suggest that you analyse with your team the factors that lead to the adoption of adjuvant technology and those factors that lead to rejection of it. This analysis will enhance your commercial strength and your company’s success in adding value.
APPROACHING SALES FROM A NEW ANGLE :
Changing the farmer’s mindset
A new way of thinking will allow the team to adopt the best approach in order to maximise commercial gain. The agronomist must be able to understand how to release the psychological brakes which prevent farmers from using an adjuvant. The team will need to analyse these psychological factors in order to adopt the best approach to promoting adjuvant use by “kick-starting the motivation motor” of the farmer.
The aim is to maximise sales by promoting the value added by use of the adjuvant rather than by promoting the product itself. This will give the sales team the opportunity to differentiate their products by value added and not on price alone.
AGROCHEMICALS USAGE PROBLEMS :
Responding to questions
Agronomists must be able to respond more and more quickly to farmers’ questions concerning the application of agrochemicals. To do this your technical team must be well informed in many subject areas in order to offer the appropriate advice. We suggest that you offer regular technical updates to your team in order to answer allow them to respond appropriately to farmers’questions.
REGULATION AND THE ENVIRONMENT :
Latest News
Agronomists must become even better informed because of market, regulatory and technological evolution. We support:
- agriculture that is sufficiently productive to feed the population at a reasonable cost
- agriculture which respects the environment, our health and society’s expectations.
Our objective is to find practical solutions to preserve the environment before, during and after agrochemical treatments in the face of a constantly changing regulatory regime.
